Do you undertake cars when they are going slow in the fast lane? How do you deal with lane hoggers?

Weave behind them. Warm your tyres while waiting.

Well I held out for a long time but this year I started undertaking and pacing back and forth behind them. Most will move at that point.

Most of drivers dont even know whats a fast lane so undertake all day long. And Actually undertake more than overtake.

In New Jersey it’s common to turn on the left indicator if someone is going too slow in the fast lane, which is the left lane. Usually they will go into the middle lane and let you pass. If not within 3 seconds i just undertake.

Only in extreme cases of obviously obnubilated drivers. If not:

indicator + some seconds waiting;
one high-beam flash, another wait;
if the right lane is clear, occupy it and floor it.

I never ever tailgate people, because (1) undercover cop cars are everywhere and they can write you a ticket if they see you doing it and (2) I don’t fancy rear ending people at 80 or 100 mph (if they brake, there is a big risk of doing just that).
In northern Italy there are a lot of 3/4/5 lanes motorways and a lot more people that just sit in the central lanes with the one for slow traffic completely empty. Most of the time you undertake people without even meaning it, just by driving at your speed in a free lane.

“fast lane”, “slow lane” nobody really cares here as long as there’s a slot as big as your car (sometimes even smaller) you take it… Plenty of slow people on the fast lane too though.
