A non car-guy friend once told me (and even called me out in front of friends once) that my Integra gsr was going to “blow up” and “break down” because it sounded loud. Apparently telling him that having solid motor mounts, aftermarket exhaust, and much more, was not a good enough reason to explain the sound, so i literally just resorted to saying, “because racecar” every time he brought it up.
