This Douchebag Caused A Terrifying Motorbike Crash Because He Didn't Secure His Load Properly

Fortunately, while the biker’s fall looks particularly nasty, the video description claims they escaped with only minor injuries. Hopefully the guy hauling the boat will spend a little longer securing his cargo next time!

Driving too close and he had enough time to react and avoid the crash.

Have you ridden a bike at highway speed? It’s not easy to react quickly.

Heh heh. All these people in the comments who have never ridden a bike, are suddenly all specialists.

As an experienced rider I really feel sorry for this guy on the R3 (prob a learner).
I know how quickly things can go downhill. I had a piece of sheet rock fly at me on the highway last week. Smacking me straight in the helmet. with a bike you have to completly give fear of death the middle finger or your own survival reactions will kill you. Until you have to deal with a thing flying at you at 130km+ you wont understand what he had to go through in those 2 seconds. you have to predict where the debris will go. judge your speed, breaking distance , escape route, wind direction, road surface- traction, and the capabilities of your bike. This is a ton of stuff to process for an experienced rider but for a newbie it will quickly overwhelm them.
There is a reason why there are learner bikes. A big cutting edge sport bike is great but it is a razor if you can handle it. It is amazing if you are a fool it will cut the other way HARD.
I know this may be funny to some of you but please understand that the person on the bike is a human being and probably has been hurt pretty bad.

Target Fixation.
biker looked at the mat instead of where he should be going, you go where you look.

Same thing happened to me at 70mph and a ladder that wasnt tied down on a work truck. I got lots of road rash on my legs, but otherwise walked away. It could have been a lot worse.
