FIA Ditch New Jersey, Korea and Mexico From F1 2014 Calendar

The final F1 2014 calendar has been published, with three races being dropped from the provisional version

The FIA, motorsport's governing body, has published the final 2014 Formula 1 calendar.

Next season will feature 19 races, four back-to-back, and will see the return of the Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring and the debut of Russian Grand Prix in Sochi.

However, proposed races in New Jersey and Mexico have been removed from the schedule, and the Korean Grand Prix has been dropped after just four seasons on the calendar. The 2014 season will kick-start in Australia on March 16th and end in Abu Dhabi - for the first time since 2010 - on November 23rd.
