Laws are not the same everywhere. Also, lane splitting saves people time.
Lane-splitting is as safe as you make it if you want to tear through there at 40 miles an hour it’s not the best and safest choice but if you’re cautious like this guy is there’s no problem with it the issue is most of the time cars pull out in front of the guy that’s lane-splitting on purpose so he will wreck because they’re jealous that he can get in front of them

I know some people claim its safer than sitting in stop-and-go traffic, but I think it depends on the situation - if someone is texting and driving behind you, then yeah that’s probably correct but otherwise I doubt that’s the case.
