How many cars did you check out before you purchased your current ride?

I used to check out at least 2-3 examples, but with the e46 I made a complete impulse decision. Have you ever YOLO’d it?

I spent four months looking for the right car for me. My parents and I could never agree on the right car until it started getting close my driving test for my liscense. We decided to go dealership to dealership on a weekend. We went to a total of two before I found the exact car that I had been wanting the whole time. It is literally perfect and had everything I wanted with my favorite color

When buying my first car I checked out 1 other 306, though the place I bought from had 3 to pick from. My BMW I bought the first one I looked at, and my MX5 now I viewed 1 other in person, and 2 others I scheduled to view sold before I could view them.

Bought my current car off ebay without seeing it before hand after my last one got wrote off. Good bodywork, no mechanical faults, only 55,000 on the clock, cost me £1000. Not a single regret.

I pretty much always Yolo it. The kind of cars I like are rare enough that there are usually only a handful of them available in the Southeastern US at any given time. I basically bought my Saabaru sight unseen (that was a mistake, I’ll admit) and my V70R was the only one for sale within 300 miles within budget.

After failing to afford a gt86, i wanted to settle for any 6cyl e46. I looked at everything from the internet to used car dealerships in my country and i never saw a manual 6cyl e46. But during the search, I came across a lot of Z3s and that made me think that i need to get a miata. I went searching for mx5s but only found a very few.. All of them were riced. I went back to Z3s and saw one that’s very cheap. I went to personally check the car and saw it only had done 60,000km, lsd option, and an interior that looked untouched. The only thing wrong with thr car was soft top leaks. It was only the 1.9 but at least i wont have to think about subframe issues. I bought it, named her Zoey. And we lived happily ever after.

I poked around at a few Dodge dealerships looking for a used Challenger within my proce range. None of them had an used ones with a manual transmission……… but then I spotted a Challenger at the Honda dealership next to one of the Dodge dealerships and it was everything I wanted at the right price! I got it for a steal with only 10k miles on it because apparently the guy that had it before didn’t like driving a standard. His loss, my gain!
