This Lamborghini Huracan Was Sliced In Half During A Massive Crash

The shocking, fiery aftermath of a crash which split a Huracan in two in Chicago can be seen in this dramatic footage

This shocking crash happened near Grant Park in Chicago on Saturday. According to eyewitness accounts cited by NBC, the Lamborghini Huracan was struck by another vehicle - almost certainly the mangled Lincoln seen in the middle of the intersection - sending it flying into a pole.

The force of the impact split the car in two, with the engine and rear wheels breaking away from the cockpit safety cell - something we’ve seen happen before in numerous mid-engined supercar crashes.

The injured driver was carried away from the car seconds before it exploded. He was conscious when taken away in an ambulance, but there have been no further reports about his condition.

Local authorities are currently investigating the crash.

I can’t be the only one incredibly pissed off for no reason that he said, “Ferrari.”

Some quality lampposts you’ve got there in Chicago guys. The piss-poor posts here where I live wouldn’t have stood a chance and would only have maybe bent the frame of that lambo a bit.

isn’t that a good thing? let the lamp post absorb the damage, not the car.

I saw video, possibly the same one this article is referring to, of a white Gallardo also splitting in two following n incident, and someone commented; ‘This is a safety feature separating the engine from the driver/passenger’.

I’ve never bothered to research this, can someone debunk? If it is, clearly it was malfunctioning on this Huracan.. Ha.

it is a safety feature, google it to find out more details, the huracan in the video probably suffered a hard impact where the fuel tank is, that was the reason for the combustion.
