New Video Shows Drunk Driver's Huge Crash In Koenigsegg Agera R

Over the weekend reports from China emerged about a 26-year-old man crashing his Koenigsegg Agera R in the city of Chongqing. At the time there was speculation that a second driver might have caused the incident by swerving into the Swedish hypercar.

However, new video from CCTV nearby refutes this claim, appearing to show that a heavy right foot and too much liquor were the most likely culprits. The crash has gained huge media attention in China due to the age of the driver and the value of the 1124bhp hypercar. Luckily there were no casualties but it’s scary to think what would have happened if the crash had taken place earlier in the day.

The Daily Mail has reported that the owner of the car is still unknown but that the hypercar may be sent back to Sweden for repairs. Perhaps Christian Koenigsegg should refuse to get this particular owner’s car back on the road….

It was a hard crash OK. But don’t looks soooo bad. Some million dollars and koinissgegesseg will repair it, as long the chassis and drivetraind is intact is no big deal, just body work

Depends how the carbon tub has withstood the crash. If it is cracked, even just a bit, it’s a scrap

No. It’s rare hypercar that is full of next level engineering a vision of a one man that still is pure with no big company behind it pulling the strings and telling what to do. It hurts to see a engineering masterpiece destroyed by some drunk idiot and when the guy is only 26 and in China so i will make a wild guess and say that the car is bought with dad’s money.

A perfect example of why drunk driving is bad, you will wreck great supercars like the poor Koenigsegg.
