Thanks to the far reaching commercial and financial embargo put on Cuba by the United States in the early 1960s, it’s been impossible to shoot a Hollywood film in the fascinating Caribbean nation for decades. However, with restrictions easing in recent years, the Fast 8 crew have been able to film part of the latest F&F feature in the Cuban capital of Havana. Earlier this year, filming took place in Iceland, although not without incident.

Fast 8 will be released on 14 April 2017, followed up by two further instalments to create a 10 film ‘saga’.

Fast and Furious was supposed to be about cars and racing not travelling and shooting or fighting.
