Technik Museum Speyer #MuseumWalk

Yesterday I totally forgot that it was Sunday, so I decided to post my last #MuseumWalk in the only day when the museums are closed. Yea… this sounded better in my head.

Technik Museum Speyer is just like the Sinsheim Auto & Technik Museum I posted before, but on a smaller scale. Don’t underestimate it though, it has some amazing pieces not to mention that both museums are in a partnership and they advertise each other’s business plus they change cars from one to the other from time to time.
The museum exhibits a lot of stuff, I won’t get into all of them because I want to keep it as automobile focused as I can, but it’s worth at least mentioning what you can see there: Space Flight Exhibition; Fire engines collection; Musical organs; Vintage cars; Locomotives; Aircraft; Utility cars and machines; Maritime exhibition and submarines and Motorbikes.
I personally really liked it because compared to all the other museums this one wasn’t so crowded and you could take your time and sit around to admire the cars in silence or try your best at snapping that perfect angle on a great looking vintage Maybach for example.
The museum also exhibits an amazing collection of airplanes and you can see and walk inside (besides others) the Boeing 747 and Antonov AN-22.
The last car you can see in the museum is hidden away at the back and it’s by any means a true jewel, the 1936 Mercedes-Benz 500K Streamline Roadster by Erdmann and Rossi.
This is the last #MuseumWalk I am going to make for now, maybe I’ll create some posts with a private collection from Bucharest in the future, but I don’t want to give any hope for that.
I’d love to read your personal #MuseumWalk posts in the future, so if you visit a car related museum maybe you’ll share your experiences with the other CTzens, hopefully with the same hashtag. 🙂
I’d also like to thank my parents who made all this journey possible last summer and my brother and his wife for taking me all around Deutschland and the Netherlands with their Ford Focus who passed 10.000KM by the end of our trips. It was the best summer I ever had!
The End

Thanks mate! I’m glad you liked it :D
I feel like the 300SL had some styling cues from the Streamline Roadster.
did you happen to get any photos of their 1958 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham?
Sadly no…
