Toyota Just Revealed A 2016 Prius Teaser And We're All Losing Our Minds

This, ladies and gentlemen, is your first official look at the 2016 Toyota Prius (we all know what it actually looks like already, remember?). I know, it’s exciting, right? We tend not to cover teasers because they’re usually completely pointless, but this is a Prius (the world’s most controversial car), which is why we’re making an exception.

We’ll get to see the new hybrid on 8 September, with Toyota live streaming the event. Oh Toyota, you spoil us. Here’s the link for your bookmarks - it all kicks off at 9pm PDT (so that’s 5am BST - we’ll be setting our alarms for this one).

Despite the fact that we know what it looks like, we don’t know anything about its performance figures. However, Toyota states that "the 2016 Prius will challenge what you know about hybrids," which is why we’re choosing to believe that the new Prius’ petrol propulsion will come in the form of the 1GZ-FE V12 found in the Toyota Century.
