As far as dyno fails go, this one is pretty damn incredible. In this video, all seems fine as the VR6-engined Mk3 VW Golf gets up to 223mph on the rollers.
When the operator lifts off, however, the front right tyre explodes.
The camera is showered in chunks of obliterated tyre and wheel cowling, and sparks fly out of the rollers as they grind to a painful hault. Dayum!
