Choose My Next Car - The Completely Aftermarket/Mod-heavy Build

Everyone knows that I’m selling my Subaru by now, right? I’ve decided to get something at least 500 pounds lighter.

A few things of note: I’m mostly interested in FF cars. I like stylish cars. I want something with a good aftermarket. Reliability is preferred but not mandatory. German cars are too expensive to maintain in my region. This is a track-build, so I don’t care about interior fixings etc. I’m yanking everything that’s unnecessary anyways.

Well, there are the choices I have in mind. Go on, choose your favourite in the comments, and tell me why.

If you could find a Celica GT-Four then go for that since it has rally pedigree.
Just a side-note: I thought they sold the MRS as the MR2 in your continent and Europe.

I’m done with AWD weight. No Celica GT-Four.

Also, MR-S was never sold in Canada, sadly.

FD Civic or RSX(DC5).Tough to choose between the two.Why no French hatchbacks though? There’s a reason why the Nurburhring is full of Clios and Meganes in the videos

The Primera is awesome… a buddy had one, I think 1995 model (P10, the best Primera). Damn reliable cars, aftermarket suspension wise okay, but i think on the engine it is much since it is the SR20 if you go for it. Plenty of fun should be on the way, cheap. But I discovered on stock suspension the back end tries to overtake you

That sounds fun. I wonder how the 1995 cars look now. The rest, I’m sold.

You could get Sr20 powered Primera’s so that thing could be really quick.

Nissan NX, or NX2000 in your case. N/A SR20, as found in the Primera. A tad over 1000kg, LSD, and most importantly, it has a Targa Top! It was heralded as one of the best handling vehicles in the 90’s, on par with the NSX, Porsche 911 and Lotus Elan. Pretty high praise, if you ask me.

Hey, welcome back!

I’d go with the Primera, since weight reduction, although it takes time, is pretty much a no cost modification. The SR20 has a huge aftermarket to boost the power, and the car, even on quite an extensive build, could still achieve sleeper status.

My second choice would probably have to be the 7th gen celica. Although the initial styling is a bit controversial, with a good clean build it has the potential to look seriously good. Not sure about the aftermarket on the engine, and it could be tough finding non-rice parts for it.

I like the way you think.

I would go for the Nissan Primera. The SR20 has alot of aftermarket support, and you have the full I-cannot-belive-I’ve-lost-to-this factor.
