Here's Your First Look At 'The Grand Tour Presents: Seamen' - Clarkson & Co's Latest Special
The Grand Tour as we knew it is over. The magazine format underpinned by tent-based studio segments finished with the last episode of series three, with future episodes to focus solely on epic trips.
We say ‘trips’ and not ‘road trips’, as we now know the first one won’t involve cars at all. Instead, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May will take to the Mekong Delta in a trio of boats. What are the odds on at least one sinking?
The trip to Vietnam and Cambodia appears to have turned Clarkson into a firm climate change believer, with the former Top Gear host telling The Sunday Times: “It’s the first time I’ve had a graphic demonstration of global warming, and you go, ‘Jesus Christ, that is really alarming.’”
The trio’s progress through the Mekong Delta driver system was massively slowed by water shortages at the Tonlé Sap lake. “The irony is not lost on me…A man who hosted a car programme for 30 years, limited to 7mph by global warming.”
Like what you see? It’ll be available to stream on Amazon Prime from Friday 13 December. A nice pre-Christmas treat for us all.
