Update: This Could Well Be The Slowest Rally Crash Ever
Robert Kubica was tackling SS3 of Rallye Monte Carlo when his Ford Fiesta RS WRC slid off road in tricky, icy conditions, hitting a tree at such a low speed it looked like the crash was filmed in slow-motion...
Yep, not a good start to the first rally of the 2016 season for ex-F1 driver Kubica. He was competing in the first of Friday’s six stages when the crash took place and he is expected to be out for the rest of the day. The footage above was quickly uploaded to YouTube by a fan and a few pictures of the scene and damage also surfaced on Twitter:

Update:
Kubica’s crashed car was then given a helpful hit from Elfyn Evans.

We should make a website like ‘www.hasmaldonadocrashedtoday.com’ for Kubica as well..
I fell like Kubica is the Maldonado of Rally, everytime i watch him he crashes into something
Kubica is a very fast driver ! He just doesn’t know where his limits are. Thats his problem. And that is why he is crashing so often.
Kubica is at it again. I swear I may have only seen less than a handful of rally events he hasn’t crashed in
HAHA did you guys see that guy with the weird hat running after the car!?! I just geeked too much over that….
That just tells you how few the grip really is there…
