This Is What Happens When A Douchebag Tailgater Meets A Cretinous Brake Checker

Two stupid drivers - one in an SUV and another in a 4x4 - meet on the highway. What happens next is more predictable than an MX-5 hairdresser joke, but still extremely shocking to watch!

Just my break down of the situation, the silver minivan passes the truck and moves into the right lane. The Edge seems to be doing the same thing, but with the minivan and the traffic coming onto the highway, it makes sense for the Edge driver to clear the minivan or at least wait till he is past the on ramp before moving right. We can see the Blazer close the distance at the start of the video. Based on this we don’t have enough information to say he was hogging the left lane, also based on this we can see that he was overtaking the right lane at a reasonable speed. Now I don’t condone the brake check but without more information the blame largely lays with the Blazer.

I have a trailblazer in my family (the vehicle that wrecked). The non-sport models of them suck when it comes to handling. I’m talking epic amounts of body roll. While a car person may have been able to save it, it doesn’t suprise me that it ended up in the ditch.

He totally deserved that. And the break checker didn’t ESSENTIALLY do anything wrong. You gotta check your breaks now and then. Its just kinda unfortunate the guy behind him was too close xD

If a car tailgates you, you are too slow, either move over or drop gears and full throttle..

i’d agree with that if there were no speed limits and no traffic. I deal with tailgaters in my everyday commute. I always go on the speed limit, or where i know there are no speed cameras, a reasonable amount more but always holding a bit back because police. when the speed limit is 120 kph, there are speed cameras that give you a ticket if you go mote than 140 kph, the middle lane is being occupied by people doing 90-100 kph, and i am doing 135-140 kph on the left lane and someone tailgates me then he is an idiot and i am not going to move to a lane going 40 kph slower, or risk a ticket for him… i never brake check by i follow the “the closer you come the slower i’ll go” rule when the tailgaters turn aggresive.

Tailgating is bad, but driving like a f**king sloth in fast lane is the worst.

He was probably making room for the guy entering from the ramp.

Yes, he did deserve it for being THAT close, but, the guy in the front was going slow as hell in the left lane on a 2 lane highway, and hitting the break before that guy even pulled up to him.

He was passing a semi and allowing traffic to merge. Perfectly reasonable that he was in the left lane.
