I disagree, it seems like he was making space for the guy coming onto the highway from the ramp. I don’t know what the rules are in th US but here in Norway we are taught to move over to the left to make more room for people entering.

Am I the only one who thinks the stupid one is the front guy? Like why doesn’t he pull to the right and let him pass like a normal person would and why would u brake check??? thats like the worst possible thing to do when someone is tailgating (which i dont approve eider)

Honestly (insert profane language here) the guy in the front brake checking. You move over for slower traffic. Why some drivers don’t do this deserve to get slapped with fines because in extremely crammed cities, this is how unnecessary traffic starts. Literally leeches in the traffic flow. Obviously tailgating won’t fix the issue, especially those who have enough balls to brake check someone. Just use the shoulder to overtake them if there is no other way. If you have no cars in front of you, but traffic on the other lane, but you’re on the left and you’re going the same speed, you need to get off the road and take a damn “common sense” “courtesy class”. It happens way too much in the US. Especially in my state of Illinois. Michigan I salute you for a 6 hour drive and every single driver stayed to the right lane and only used the left to overtake. Which is how its done.

Well, he did move over after he passed the semi and allowed the merging car to merge. Seems the tailgater was quite impatient. Still, the other guy shouldn’t have brake checked, that was unnecessary.

He was in the fast lane, and going faster than the slow lane. He was going fast enough to pass, just not fast enough for the tailgater. Not to mention that he can chose to brake if he wants to, there isn’t a law against it. In fact, if the tailgater hit the car in front in most states it would be the tailgater’s fault.

Not to mention he was allowing the car that came off of the ramp to merge. Just because he didn’t move in a 2 second window doesn’t mean you can overtake illiegally on the shoulder lol.
